The Child Study Team is here to provide support and educational services to the students. These services entail working closely with the teacher to enhance learning in the classroom and shops. In addition, counseling advising services are also available. We have a well established network with all of the child study teams from the sending districts. We work closely with all the classified students at CCTEC.

Educational and psychological evaluations as well as speech therapy, OT and PT are provided for the full-time classified students.

The members of the child study team are the Learning Consultant, School Psychologist and School Social Worker.

The Guidance department at CCTEC concerns itself with the student as an individual.  We strive to provide professional and skilled guidance to ensure our students are prepared to be educated, well-adjusted and informed adults.  We seek to help each student in making informed and responsible decisions concerning personal, educational and career choices.  We work hard to make certain that our students are well-prepared for higher education or a career that will enable them to become the future leaders of the community and beyond.

Personal, educational, career or work-related concerns are many common reasons that students may visit the guidance office.  We have an “Open-door” policy meaning that at any time students are welcome to stop in and we will make a strong effort to meet their needs.

Goals of the program include assisting students in:

1.     Achieving their maximum potential.

2.     Developing skills necessary for success in today’s working world.

3.     Being available to students, their families or staff members when needed.
