ADMISSIONS PROCESS

What is TEC?

Cumberland County Technical Education Center is the newest high school in Cumberland County.  We specialize in technical education to offer students a chance to explore various careers and assist them in developing the skills they need to be successful.  We are a full-time high school in a state of the art facility designed to maximize learning and hands on skills.

Who can apply?

All 8th grade students who reside in Cumberland County.

How do I get an application?

Applications for admission will be sent after attending an Information Session in the fall of the applicant’s eighth grade year. (Please note: Parents/Guardians, who currently have a child enrolled at CCTEC, are not required to attend an additional Information Session. However, you will need to register for a Session to receive the application.)

Once you complete the application, please submit the following items:

               7th Grade Final Report Card

               8th Grade 1st Marking Period/Trimester Report Card

The deadline to apply for the 2019/2020 school year is Friday, December 14, 2018.

The final step of the Application Process is the Entrance Exam.  This will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2019.  An email will be sent out to those students who completed the application and submitted their transcripts prior to the December deadline.

When will applicants be notified if they were accepted?

We will notify accepted students by the end of March 2019.  A letter of acceptance/non-acceptance will be mailed to the home address.  All non-accepted students will be placed on a waitlist.  The waitlist remains open until August 1, 2019.
