On Friday, March 16th, the Cumberland County Technical Education Center welcomed approximately 250 student competitors from across the state as the school hosted a SkillsUSA competition.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry professionals working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce.  Students are provided the opportunity to showcase their career and technical skills during SkillsUSA competitions.  Top performers will qualify for the national competition in June. 

The following SkillsUSA competitions took place at CCTEC on March 16th:

  • Design and Build Plywood Challenge
  • Culinary Arts – Southern Regional Division
  • Audio/Radio Production
  • Broadcast News Production
  • Chapter Display
  • Technology Display
  • Safety Display
  • Promotional Bulletin Board
