Horizon AVL was selected for this award due to their continued involvement with TEC’s Studio Production and Broadcasting Program.  The Horizon team was responsible for the design and installation of TEC’s state-of-the-art live broadcast studio, and has provided hands-on training and assistance for all of the new equipment.  Horizon employees have also visited classrooms to serve as guest-speakers, and have volunteered their time to serve as judges during SkillsUSA competitions.  According to Matthew Neder, Studio Production and Broadcasting Instructor, “The Program would not be what it is without the assistance of Horizon AVL.  They are always willing to make time for our school and they are committed to making the studio equipment last long-term.”

Annually, a business partner is honored by each of New Jersey’s 21 county career and technical school districts.  Business partners serve on technical advisory boards to ensure that district programs meet industry standards and needs.  They donate equipment, host site visits, serve as guest speakers, role models and mentors, offer internships and scholarships, and hire students and graduates.
